COVID-19 & Kidney Injury Case
A 68-year-old man was admitted with fever, shortness of breath, and acute kidney injury. Testing of a nasopharyngeal swab for SARS-CoV-2 RNA was positive. Respiratory failure and hypotension developed. The creatinine level was 6.9 mg/dL (normal range, 0.6 to 1.5), and the urea nitrogen level 111 mg/dL (normal range, 8 to 25).
